I joined PSM Marine around three and a half months ago, where I work alongside Sean, assisting with quotations. It’s a completely new industry for me, so there’s a lot to learn, but I’m really enjoying the challenge. My background in warranties has given me a good foundation, and with Sean’s support and ability to explain the technical side of the business, I’m learning something new every day.
Before joining PSM, I spent over 35 years in the automotive industry. I started my career with a local Ford dealership as an After Sales Service Administrator before progressing to Warranty Administrator, where I stayed for 10 years. I then joined a Mercedes-Benz dealership, spending the next 18 years in similar roles before moving to BMW.
At BMW, I initially supported the Corporate Sales team before becoming an Account Manager, looking after customers and their BMW and MINI fleets. One of the highlights of my time there was winning a trip to Miami after our department achieved outstanding MINI sales – it was truly the trip of a lifetime!
After eight years, the department closed and I was made redundant. Most recently, I spent two years working in customer services for a PPE distributor before the business was sold.
Outside of work, I love getting away in my touring caravan and try to use it every month of the year. I’ve travelled as far as Bordeaux in France as well as exploring many parts of the UK, and I’m always looking for somewhere new to visit. When I’m at home, you’ll usually find me in the garden, reading, relaxing or spending time with family and friends.
