The APT590 represents the latest evolution in Scanjet PSM’s pressure transmitter range. Drawing on extensive field experience, customer feedback and continuous product development, we have optimised both the design and manufacturing process to deliver consistent performance whilst maintaining competitive pricing.
At the heart of the APT590 is our proven piezoresistive pressure sensing technology. Redesigned internal electronics with fewer components and a smaller PCB (printed circuit board) improves long-term reliability and consistent performance, while a new cable exit and more compact construction reduce the transmitter’s size and weight.
Built for Marine Environments
Marine applications present some of the harshest operating conditions for instrumentation. The APT590 has been engineered specifically with these challenging conditions in mind.

Compact Design

Suitable for a Wide Range of Applications
The APT590 has been developed as the standard choice wherever a 2-wire 4–20 mA pressure transmitter is required.
Available with pressure ranges from 0.2 bar to 40 bar as standard (with higher ranges available on request), the transmitter supports gauge, absolute and compound pressure measurement. A 2:1 turndown allows calibration to the application’s actual operating range, providing greater installation flexibility.
Its IP68-rated construction also makes the APT590 suitable for fully submersible applications, while a choice of construction materials (including stainless steel, titanium and specialist wetted materials such as hastelloy and tantalum) ensures compatibility with a wide variety of liquids and gases.
Combined with a comprehensive range of mounting adaptors, the APT590 can be integrated into both new installations and retrofit projects with ease.
Independently Tested and Certified
The APT590 has undergone extensive lifecycle testing covering temperature, vibration, pressure, loading and supply variation, alongside monitored real-world field trials to validate long-term performance.
It is also fully Marine Type Approved and certified as Intrinsically Safe under ATEX, UKEx and IECEx, giving operators confidence that the transmitter meets the demanding standards required across marine and hazardous area applications.
